As a member of the River Oaks Civic Association, you have the opportunity to get involved in YOUR community. You will have an active voice in making a difference in the areas that matter most; Your Home. We are a voluntary, not for profit Civic Association working for the betterment of our community.
As a member of the Civic Association, you have the opportunity to join any of our volunteer groups. These groups allow you to make a direct impact on decisions and programming within the community

Volunteer Opportunities

Maintenance of River Oaks Monument Entrance Signs

  • Signage & banners representing our neighborhood in events
  • Community yard sales with vendors sponsored by your Association & Green Your Routine (GYR)
  • Promote sustainability by volunteering with the City of Fort Lauderdale &Green Your Routine (GYR) – participate in community environmental projects and events to earn rewards to enhance our neighborhood

Safety & Code Compliance Enforcement

  • Increased Fort Lauderdale Police Officer crime patrols
  • “See Something Say Something”
  • CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) educates people about disaster preparedness.

Governmental & Sustainable Development 

Stay informed and speak up on behalf the residents of River Oaks to various state and local authorities.  With our unified voice representing our community combined with the other Civic associations, we can protect and enhance our beautiful neighborhood.
